A working draft, not terms in force
GlideQuest Consulting is still being established. This page sets out how we intend to work rather than terms currently in force, and it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Anything binding will be set out in a signed agreement.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by GlideQuest Consulting ("we", "us", "our"). The best way to reach us is through our contact form.
2. About the content on this site
The material on this website is provided for general information about our services. It is not professional, technical, or legal advice, and it should not be relied on as the basis for any decision about your own platform or organisation.
We try to keep the site accurate and current, but we make no representation or warranty that it is complete, correct, or up to date. Any engagement we undertake is governed by a separate written agreement, not by this website. Where this site and a signed agreement differ, the signed agreement governs.
3. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the content of this website — including text, layout, graphics, logos, and code — is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download, and print pages from this site for your own internal reference. You may not:
- republish, sell, rent, or sub-licence material from this site;
- reproduce or otherwise commercially exploit it;
- redistribute it, except where content is expressly made available for redistribution.
Ownership of work produced during a client engagement is dealt with in the agreement covering that engagement, not here.
4. Trademarks and attribution
ServiceNow is a registered trademark of ServiceNow, Inc. GlideQuest Consulting is an independent consultancy and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to ServiceNow, Inc.
We refer to ServiceNow and to specific ServiceNow products only to describe the platform we work on and the certifications our team holds. All other product names, logos, and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners, and referring to them does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Applications we develop are custom software delivered into a client's own instance. Unless a page explicitly states otherwise, they are not published on the ServiceNow Store and are not certified by ServiceNow.
5. Privacy
5.1 What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us. If you complete the contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, company name, email address, an optional phone number, the category of help you selected, and the message you write.
Our hosting provider may also record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, as part of ordinary server operation and security.
5.2 Why we use it, and on what basis
We use the details you send to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and hold an initial conversation, and — if it goes further — to prepare a proposal. Our basis for processing is your consent in submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making.
5.3 Who else sees it
Your enquiry is seen by the people at GlideQuest Consulting who need to answer it. It is also handled by the the service providers who run our website, contact form, and email on our behalf. We may disclose information where we are required to by law.
5.4 How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as we need it, after which it is deleted unless it forms part of a client record we are required to retain.
5.5 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. You can also withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, get in touch through our contact form and we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
5.6 International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place for such transfers.
6. Cookies and local storage
This site sets no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.
It does store one item in your browser's local storage: your choice of light or dark theme, saved so the site looks the same next time you visit. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
If we add analytics later, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.
7. Links to other sites
Where we link to another organisation's website, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential information, credentials, or personal data belonging to third parties through the contact form.
9. Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA on this site. If you encounter something that gets in your way, please tell us through our contact form and we will fix it.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the current version always applies.
11. Contact
Questions about anything on this page can go through our contact form.
